Bet365 Sees 31 Percent US Market Share Increase, 4th Most Downloaded App

The gambling site saw 145,000 downloads this past month with an increase of 30.9%.

Bet365 is the long established British sportsbook that previously flourished in the USA as one of the few UK-based sportsbooks to take bets from Americans prior the the Supreme Court decision to overturn decades of sports betting prohibition known as The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).

Bet365 was founded in 2000 by Denise Coates.  Her dad, Peter Coates, was chairman of Bet365 and also the chairman of the Stoke City football club.  Denise remains the majority shareholder and joint-chief executive alongside her brother, John Coates. The company is headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Bet365 app is only currently available in six US states including Colorado, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and Kentucky.

Only FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM saw more downloads over the past month.

Only Bet On Sports has seen a greater increase at 169% (31,000 downloads).  That app claims to be available in all 50 US states but is not a gambling operator.  Instead, Bet On Sports is a simulation site.

Fanatics was the 6th most downloaded sportsbook app in the US but also witnessed the sharpest decrease at 70 percent.
