Bettors Backing These Masters Contenders

Heading into Thursday's Masters 2023, there were 14 golfers singled out by BetOnline as seeing the most support among the betting public.  Not surprisingly, Tiger Woods remains among the big favorites.  He entered Thursday with 75-1 odds.

In order of largest public favorites, they were as follows

Dave Mason of BetOnline noted how people tended to bet late and that change these liabilities in terms of ranking.

Noren was suddenly the biggest public favorite followed by Morikawa, Sargent Slaughter at 300-1, Sungjae Im at 45-1, Tony Finau 26-1, Tiger 75-1, Cameron Smith  25-1 Justin Thomas 22-1, Homa 33-1, Koepka 40-1, Kevin Na 350-1, Burns 35-1, Cantlay 20-1, Mito Pereira 115-1 and Day 30-1.

The Leaderboard End of Thursday

Viktor Hovland sat atop the leaderboard followed by one of the early co-favorites to win it all, Jon Rahm.  Koepka was among the bigger liabilities and sat 3rd on the leaderboard.

Woods and Noren were pretty far back.  Burns was in the thick of things.
