Few Sportsbooks Voiding Steelers-Bills Bets Following Time Change
Normally a time change in a game wouldn't matter much. News that the Steelers-Bills game has been postponed until Monday changes a whole lot however.
That's because many folks pounded the UNDER when the game was still set for Sunday. While the blizzard was set to end just prior to game time, the winds were still going to be above 25 mph, most certain wreaking havoc on the kicking and even some of the passing.
In 2021, the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots played a game with winds of up to 23mph. The Patriots won that game despite passing the ball just three times. Sunday's winds were expected to be even stronger.
Monday's weather calls for snow showers and winds closer to 10 mph by game time.
BetOnline's Dave Mason confirmed bets on Sunday's game are all "no-actioned based on house rules".
Ben Fawkes of ESPN posted the list of other regulated sportsbooks voiding bets on this game. There is just one (that he could find).

Hard Rock Bet, which just started operating out of Florida, is action as well.
And that total? It shot up from 33 to 37.
Dave DeSalvo tweeted: "Why would they void the bets they know how many people bet the under."
Instantzen69 wrote: "Isn't there supposed to be a gaming commission to make sure sportsbooks stop ripping people off like this?"
Eric Waddel wrote: "I’m not 100% sure how fair that is for those to be action. I’m not there, but if I had been, I would’ve bet large on the under. Because I was adding the weather into my equation for that bet."
