First a Look at the Line

3.86 is the number we get here for Pittsburgh.  While we've seen this one dip to a PICK'EM, books had mostly moved the number back up to -3, which places it within the accuracy range.

Boston College vs. Pittsburgh Prop Bets

Christian Veilleux (Pittsburgh Panthers) passing yards total (Over/Under) was coming in at 206.5.

Veilleux replaced Phil Jurkovic last month and has completed 50 percent of his passes (93 of 185)

Thomas Castellanos (Boston College Eagles) had a total of 171.5 passing yards.

Castellanos threw for 110 yards, two interceptions and one touchdown. With top rushers Kye Robichaux and Pat Garwo out, Alex Broome ran for 56 yards and a 4-yard touchdown that gave the Eagles a 7-3 lead midway through the first quarter.  They would go on to lose to Virginia Tech.

What's at Stake

If you're Boston College there is plenty of motivation to win this game.

Last weekend's loss to Virginia Teach killed their outside shot of making the ACC Championship Game but they are still very likely to be playing in a bowl game.

Boston College has already improved on a 3-9 record last season.  Despite this, the Eagles have failed to realize a profit for gamblers this season as they come into their game against Pitt with a 4-6 record Against The Spread. We'd anticipate a correction, perhaps with this game.
