Online Gambling Company 888.com Loses Two Co-Founders
12 year old 888.com (previously known as Cassava Enterprises) has lost one of its founding directors, Israeli Shay Ben-Yitzhak. The Non-executive director Shay Ben-Yitzhak, has resigned with immediate effect to spend more time with his family according to RecentPoker.com.
888.com chairman Richard Kilsby, said: "I would like to express on behalf of the board and all at the company our appreciation of Shay's contribution as one of the original founders of the business, and in growing the company from its infancy to where it is now. We wish him all the best for the future."
Another of 888.com's founders sadly passed away this past week.
Aharon Shaked, a one time dentist, was only 58. He and his brother, Avi Shaked, made millions from 888 Holdings, taking the company public a few years ago.
The brothers mortgaged their houses in 1995 in order to obtain the funds to establish 888.
During the early part of this past century, 888.com was one of the most marketed online casino on the Web, via its flagship brand Casino-on-Net. 888.com has since become the primary marketed brand.
