Bitcoin Cash Upgrade a Groundbreaking Success

Less than a year after its birth, cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is taking several leaps farther ahead of its predecessor, CoinGeek.com reported late Tuesday.

At 16:00 UTC on May 15, the network successfully executed its scheduled network upgrade that features a block size increase to 32MB, four times what it was prior to this day, and 16 times higher than that of the BTC chain.

From CoinGeek.com:

Most importantly, previously disabled OP_Codes have been resurrected. This upgrade will enable smart contracts to run on the chain, which nChain—one of the main teams leading the development of Bitcoin Cash—says has always been in the original Bitcoin vision all along.
