Controversial Ireland-based Paddy Power, the UK’s third largest bookmaking firm, has initiated a campaign against the Russian Olympic team following a blanket ban against the team for alleged doping.

The International Olympics Committee (IOC) has yet to make a ruling on the Russians but that hasn’t stopped Paddy Power from taking full advantage of the ordeal.

Paddy Power has camped out in front of the Russian embassy where they are asking athletes to hand back their ill-gotten gains – with a 'medal amnesty' box.

The box reads: “PLEASE PUTIN YOUR MEDALS. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.”  It is manned by pseudo Olympians.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: "Turns out those pesky Russians have been Putin dodgy stuff into their bodies - and the government were in on it.

"That was a very Vlad decision, but we are offering them a chance to put things right. I imagine we'll see athletes Russian to our drop-off point this week."
