Cal has been a +3 dog with the line occasionally dipping as low as +2. We get a number of 2.88 Texas Tech, very much ensuring an accurate line.  Our model indicates no edge with a line on the money between 2 and 3.

The Independence Bowl is played annually each December at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana.  It rewards a 2.2 million.

Per Wikipedia, "In January 2020, the bowl announced a six-year sequence of games that will feature an independent program (either Army or BYU) against a team from either the Pac-12, Conference USA (C-USA), or the American Athletic Conference (The American). Once BYU joined the Big 12 in 2023, the bowl announced that a bid to the Big 12 overall would replace BYU in their upcoming schedule rotation."

Texas Tech QB Behren Morton total passing yards featured an Over/Under of 228.5.  Cal's Fernando Mendoza number came in at 218.5.
