Betting on this year's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest will be available at DraftKings.  But not all states offer the DraftKings app, and most that do won't allow DraftKings to offer betting on competitive eating.  If you cannot bet on the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest at DraftKings, there are other options.

The three states that approved it are New Jersey, Colorado and New Hampshire.  This is always subject to change, and could have already in 2022.

Johnny Avello, the director of race and sportsbook operations for DraftKings, confirmed his company will be offering odds on the competition and will likely include a prop bet involving big favorites Joey Chestnut (men's) and Miko Sudo (women's).

“We are thinking of doing something combined between Chestnut and Sudo. His record is 76  dogs and hers is 48.5,” he said.

“The line on that would probably be close to even money either way.”

DraftKings was not expected to release odds until later in the week, most likely Friday.

The popular long established online sportsbook BetUS is accessible from most states and already had their odds and prop bets up for the Hot Dog Eating Contest.

They had odds on the men's outright winner without Joey Chestnut.

With that you get a more competitive field that includes

Geoffrey Esper paying out $25 on a $10 bet, Nick Wehry paying $35, Darron Breedon paying $55 and Gideon Oji paying $80.

BetUS also offers totals on number of dogs eaten by each of the top competitors, including Chestnut.
