Casumo Casino - The Newest Grinch Who Stole Christmas

In the wake of Casumo Casino advising numerous affiliates it will no longer honor payments for referred players, one has to wonder....what were these people thinking?

Our coverage of this story has since been read or re-posted by vast numbers of folks in the online casino sector, the largest ever in the history of Gambling911.com in fact, to the point where it truly will be embarrassing for any of its reps to show up at upcoming affiliate conferences without feeling like lepers.

The Casumo Casino group regularly attends these conferences.

One affiliate tells Gambling911.com the company no longer cherishes these relationships.  This person says they had around $1000 in affiliate payments confiscated.  Assuming that's the case, odds are good Casumo won't be attending the upcoming iGB conference in London.

By Wednesday afternoon, a number of affiliates reported they could no longer log into their accounts. Some said they received a message "Account Suspended".

Here is the email that went out to large number of affiliates:

Dear Affiliate,

We are writing to inform you of an important development regarding your Casumo Affiliate Account.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a mutually beneficial partnership, we regularly review the activity and performance of our affiliate accounts in line with the terms and conditions of our affiliate program.

As stipulated in our official affiliate terms and conditions:

"In the event that the Affiliate fails to refer New Registering Customers during any consecutive three (3) month period, Casumo reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to (i) suspend or terminate the Affiliate account OR (ii) reduce Affiliate’s Commission rate to a flat rate of no more than 10% of Net Revenue until such time that the Affiliate introduces a total of six (6) New Customers within a six (6) month period at which point (effective upon Your referral of the sixth New Customer) Your Commission rate will revert to the standard Commission rates as set out in Clause 19 of these Terms and Conditions."

Upon recent review, it has come to our attention that your affiliate account has not referred any new customer registrations for a consecutive period of three months.
In light of this, and after careful consideration, the decision has been made to close your affiliate account and cease any further commissions.

Please know that this decision was not taken lightly and is in line with our policy to ensure the vitality and effectiveness of our affiliate program.

Gambling911.com can now reveal that at least one Affiliate Manager for the company who previously appeared at these conferences is no longer working for Casumo.

Yana Luchaninova left the company last month.  She served as Casumo's Affiliate Manager for a number of accounts and represented the casino at iGB Live in Amsteredam this year.

Anastasiia Poliaskova, the former Head of Affiliates , has since advised Gambling911.com she, too, has left the company.

It's not lost on a lot of folks that Casumo made this move just in time for the Christmas holiday season and apparently with little or no warning at all.

Happy Holidays from Casumo....Grinch Style
