This freshman class has long been considered one of the most special in decades, but the first names we continually heard were AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson.

Cameron Boozer is tearing up college basketball and putting up even better numbers than Zion did as a freshman at Duke.

Boozer is averaging 23.9 points per game, 9.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1 block. He’s also been hyper-efficient shooting 55.9% from the field, 37.2 from three and shooting seven free throws a game.

Boozer passed Purdue’s Braden Smith as the favorite for the prestigious award.

Men’s Wooden Award lines are fluid and subject to change.
