When guards L.J. Cryer and Milos Uzan combined for 30 points in Houston’s 60-47 road victory over Oklahoma State on Monday, it showed the potency of the Cougars’ backcourt and the gradual progress the pair continue to make in their respective careers, Field Level Media noted ahead of Houston's game versus BYU.

Against the BYU Cougars, Emanuel Sharp scored 18 points, Terrance Arceneaux scored 15 and No. 14 Houston beat BYU 86-55 on Saturday for its sixth straight win.

Mylik Wilson had 12 points as Houston (10-3, 2-0 Big 12) shot 49% overall and 47% on 3-pointers. The Cougars have won 30 straight home games.

Cryer and Uzan teamed to deliver the knockout blows in the second half with back-to-back 3-pointers that extended a 17-point halftime cushion to 57-32 with 12:43 remaining. BYU (10-3, 1-1) never recovered.

Uzman appeared in 32 games as a freshman and started 24 of them at Oklahoma. In his freshman season, he averaged 7.6 points, three assists, 2.7 rebounds and shot 41% from behind the arc.

His performance in his first year at Oklahoma earned him a spot on the 2023 Big 12 All-Freshman Team.

In his sophomore season, he was the only Sooner to start all 32 games.

He averaged 9.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
