Gambling911 Celebrates Oregon With Ducks Favored to Win 2025 NCAAF Championship
The Oregon Ducks are now favored to win the 2025 NCAAF Championship. The payout would be $355 for every $100 bet at BetUS.
What better time to visit this often forgotten state. Gambling911.com did just that but there was one disappointment. All the stuffed ducks were sold out....at least at the airport (PDX).
We had to settle for a bear.
Small Town Feel of Portland
“Portland, Oregon, ranks as the fourth-best foodie city in America because of its diverse, high-quality culinary offerings and its accessibility to food lovers, from upscale dining to street food,” said WalletHub Analyst Chip Lupo.
We can certainly vouch for this. Portland had some of the best dining in all of our travels throughout the USA and beyond.
There are also an abundance of food trucks and fabulous happy hour deals.
Some of our personal favorites, Grits N Gravy can't be missed for breakfast, Mother's Bistro and Bar, Thai Peacock and Jakes Crawfish Grill, one of the oldest restaurants in Portland.
Contrary to what you may have read or heard on the news, Portland is a charming, clean and safe city.
Skiing at Timberline and The Shining
We could not have picked a more perfect time.
Timberline Lodge is where they filmed the exterior shots of the hotel featured in the 1980 masterpiece "The Shining".
The forecast for Sunday called for upwards of two feet of snow.
By Monday, there was not a cloud in the sky.
Make sure to ask the front desk at the lodge for the authentic axe used by Jack Nicholson (REDRUM REDRUM).
Constructed in 1937, Timberline Lodge stands on the south slope of Mt. Hood at an elevation of 6,000 feet. This beautiful 55,000 square foot structure rises out of a pristine alpine landscape and is still being used for its original intent – a magnificent ski lodge and mountain retreat for everyone to enjoy. Legendary and awe-inspiring, it's a tribute to the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977, Timberline Lodge is one of Oregon’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing nearly two million visitors every year.
Cannon Beach
A trip to Oregon is not complete without a visit to the coast.
Cannon Beach is a small coastal city in northwest Oregon. It’s known for its long, sandy shore. Standing tall in the ocean, Haystack Rock is a seasonal haven for tufted puffins. On a headland to the north, trails in Ecola State Park offer sweeping views of the ocean, coves and a lighthouse. South is Arcadia Beach, with tide pools and a picnic area. Nearby Hug Point has sea caves. Boutiques and galleries dot downtown.
