Texas Tech looks to continue an impressive bounce-back from a rough two-game stretch to start the season. The Red Raiders have a six-game home winning streak that's their longest since a school-record, 12-game run from 2007-09. Baylor is on an eight-game Big 12 losing streak just three years after winning the conference. Both teams were off last week. Texas Tech won 28-22 at Arizona in its previous game while the Bears lost 43-21 at Iowa State after leading 14-3 in the second quarter.

Texas Tech blew a big halftime lead, lost two fumbles and was in danger of losing a game it had firmly in control.

The Red Raiders tightened up at the right time and Tahj Brooks provided the decisive blow.

Brooks ran for 128 yards and scored three touchdowns, Jacob Rodriguez forced a late fumble and Texas Tech rallied after blowing a 15-point lead to beat Arizona 28-22 on Saturday night.

“There were a lot of body blows thrown, you couldn't blink, but they kept fighting and really proud of them,” Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire said.

The Red Raiders managed to cover the 5 point spread in the end.

Two of the six teams that have yet to lose in Big 12 play meet in the desert. Arizona bounced back from a road loss to No. 20 Kansas State by picking up an impressive 23-10 road win at No. 18 Utah. The Wildcats were stellar defensively after being run over by Kansas State, intercepting two passes with eight pass breakups and seven tackles for loss. The Red Raiders have won three straight since losing to Washington State the second game of the season, including 44-41 over Cincinnati last week.

Texas Tech came into this game as a +6 road dog with the line occasionally dropping to +5.5.  Action was balanced.

Texas Tech Pushes Against Cincinnati (September 28)

The line on this game moved between 3.5 and 2.5 with the Bearcats the dog. We had an underlay as the line should have been 4.47.  Our model did not indicate any advantage with the line 2.5/3/3.5 and an underlay.
