Florida's Hard Rock Evacuated Twice Over Bomb Threats
Florida's Hard Rock Casino in Tampa had to be evacuated on two separate occasions this week due to concerns over potential bombs planted in the establishment.
A "crude concealed device with fireworks components" was discovered at the casino shortly before midnight Sunday night and quickly deactivated with support from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Team, the Seminole Police Department told Fox News Digital in a statement.
The device was discovered in a men’s room adjacent to the casino, and part of the building was immediately evacuated.
The casino reopened about 3 a.m. Monday after the device was deactivated and removed.
A second hidden device, related to the first, was discovered in a men’s room shortly after noon on Monday in the mezzanine area of the casino, which was evacuated.
No further information is known at this time.

Miami Man Helped Steal $68K From New Orleans Casino Machine, Police Say
Three months after a Florida man pleaded guilty to tampering with a video roulette machine at Boomtown New Orleans Casino , his alleged accomplice has been arrested, according to authorities.
Michel Francklin, 57, was taken into custody in Miami, and extradited to Jefferson Parish on Sept. 24. He was booked with three counts of being a principal to altering gaming equipment and three counts of theft, according to jail records.
Francklin is accused of helping 33-year-old Michael Shea of Coral Springs, Florida, rig one of the roulette games at the casino, located at 4132 Peters Road, Harvey, according to State Police.

Nurse Steals £17k Fom Children's Charity to Feed Gambling Addiction
A former hospice nurse from East Lothian who embezzled more than £17,000 from a disabled children’s charity to fund his gambling habit has been given a community payback order.
Alan Thorburn transferred the money from accounts connected to Dreamflight, a charity which takes seriously ill children on holidays to Florida, to his personal bank account over the period between January 2015 and March 2018.
The 40-year-odl, of Tranent, has been ordered to perform 280 hours of unpaid work at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Lynne Barrie, Procurator Fiscal for Lothian and Borders, said: “This was a shocking breach of trust by an employee who was responsible for managing funds raised by a children’s charity.
“The money which Alan Thorburn stole was donated by members of the public in good faith, intended to be used to take children with a serious illness or disability on a holiday of a lifetime.
“The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service is committed to tackling financial crime and ensuring that those who commit offences against vulnerable individuals are brought to justice.”
