PlayTime (also referred to as PTime) was disqualified from the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup after an integrity investigation led to the provisional suspension of two members of the team.
Oswaldo "DarkMago" Herrera (mid laner) and Juan "Vintage" Angulo (coach) were both removed as a result of the investigation. The suspensions were described as precautionary measures pending further review.
The scheduled PlayTime vs. Vici Gaming Survival Stage match was first postponed because tournament organizers cited an unspecified "integrity issue."
The Esports World Cup organizers later disqualified the entire PlayTime roster after it was determined that the remaining roster could not satisfy the tournament's eligibility requirements to continue competing.
Speculation has run rampant that match fixing could be at play here, however, these rumors are yet to be supported.
The organization denies management was involved in any alleged integrity breach.
PlayTime’s Dota 2 team was created by a company whose core business includes online gambling. The team is operated through PT Sports, with the parent company PlayTime Entertainment. PlayTime is a Philippine online casino platform licensed by PAGCOR, offering products such as slots, baccarat and other casino games.
