Oddsmakers waited until the close of the transfer portal until releasing the 2024-2025 Heisman odds.

The dust has settled, culminating on Friday January 5 with one of the most notable transfers -- quarterback Will Howard committing to Ohio State -- and now we have our list of Heisman contenders and each's respective odds.

SportsBetting.ag made a non-transfer the favorite (Jalen Milroe), and the first 21 players on the 41-player list are quarterbacks. We don't see a non-QB until Travis Hunter and Trevor Etienne at the 50/1 mark.

The Top 3, in terms of odds, are QBs returning to their teams from this season (Ewers could still declare), but then you have two transfer portal players in Dillon Gabriel and Howard to out the Top 5.

Of note, Ohio State’s national championship odds for next year moved from +850 to +800 following Howard's transfer announcement.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
