If a group of oddsmakers comprised the CFP committee, the below odds suggest they would include Ohio State in the CFP Playoffs.

Our team released early spreads for potential CFP semifinal matchups against the two top-ranked teams, Georgia and Michigan.

Ohio State is an underdog against both, of course, but less of an underdog than Florida State, Washington and Texas.

Oregon is less of a dog than Ohio State in both matchups so the oddsmakers view the Ducks as the third-best team, and Ohio State No. 4.

But...it's doubtful the CFP committee sees it the same way as the "experts." Here are the game lines:

Georgia CFP Spreads

Florida State vs. Georgia (-17.5)

Washington vs. Georgia (-14.5)

Texas vs. Georgia (-10.5)

Ohio State vs. Georgia (-6.5)

Oregon vs. Georgia (-3.5)

Michigan CFP Spreads

Florida State vs. Michigan (-15.5)

Washington vs. Michigan (-12.5)

Texas vs. Michigan (-7.5)

Ohio State vs. Michigan (-3)

Oregon vs. Michigan (PK)

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
