2010 Oscars Prop Bets
2010 Oscars prop bets were now available from Sports Interaction.com.
Canada's first licensed online bookmaker was offering odds on the color of the best actress' dress with black being the favorite paying just over $13 for every $10 bet.
Red would pay out $70 for every $10 bet. Cream or white pays $30 for every $10 bet.
"There is actually some good handicapping information that can help with this type of 2010 Oscars prop bet," points out Gambling911.com Senior Editor Payton O'Brien. "With Sandra Bullock the -175 favorite to win, one can examine her past awards show wardrobe to see her most desired color of dress."
A quick review suggests that Bullock heavily favors black while having appeared in white gowns and even an orange dress.
Sports Interaction is offering a few other whacky Oscars prop bets including whether the best director winner fails to mention his wife (at +150 odds), if the best actor cries during his acceptance speech (at +400 odds), and whether Kanye West leaps up on stage to disrupt an Oscar presentation (at +15000 odds).
When reading the odds, a number such as +200 means that a $10 bet pays $20. If there is a minus (-) in front of the number such as -300, one would have to bet $30 to win $10 (the $30 bet is refunded only if the bet is a winner).
