American Idol Betting: Adam Lambert Still Has Value

Adam Lambert

Assuming Adam Lambert really is going to win this season's American Idol (everyone and their mother seems to think so after last week's performance), there may be only hours to get him at the best price possible before oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com publish odds that are too far out of reach.

-250 may not seem like an enticing number at first glance.

"It is a good number," says Gambling911.com's Payton O'Brien.  "If he is a ‘lock' as we are being led to believe, that's a good number.  Even I have downloaded some of his music and I had that stupid show."

-250 means you would have to bet $2.50 to win $1.00 or $25 to win $1.  Should Adam Lambert become the next American Idol, you would receive back the $2.50 or $25 plus the winnings.

"I gotta tell you this is one of the best bets out there right now," O'Brien emphatically stated.  "Unless he really blows it Tuesday night, oddsmakers are going to probably have him at -350 or higher come Thursday when they update odds after the results show.  People need to lock in the -250 odds now."

Last week, Lambert sang Tears for Fears "Mad World".  Even the feisty judge, Simon Cowell, gave him an unheard of standing ovation.  The show ran beyond its allotted time slot with Simon simply saying "Words were not necessary".  We got the point.
