The Best Actor category at this year's Oscars is a two man show and much tighter than those of us at Gambling911.com had imagined.

Mickey Rourke may be the favorite to win at BetUS.com - where an $18 bet is required to win $10 ($28 is paid out total is Rourke wins) - but he is far from a "lock" as the Dominic Patten of the Tampa Bay Examiner explains:

"Despite his Golden Globe win and his BAFTA win, the backlash that Mickey Rourke has been getting around the fancier parts of Tinseltown are not doing the former Bad Boy any favors. His off screen antics and understandable enjoyment of a truly stellar comeback only confirms our belief that the actor won't win Best Actor for his role as wash-up former ringmaster Randy "The Ram" Robinson in the starkly honest The Wrestler. In that sense, it's a shame, cause Hollywood loves a comeback but not a show off. Too bad because, in a year of a number of stellar performances, Rourke really deserves to win."

Sean Penn is neck and neck with Rourke, paying $12 for every $10 at BetUS.com should he win.

Keith Demco of Macon.com believes Penn will win the Oscar in 2009.

"Penn will take this home for his portrayal of "Milk," and will be a worthy winner. He has politics on his side this year, but he also perfectly captured the joys and tragedies in the life of a complicated public figure."
