In our humble opinion here at Gambling911.com, the best Oscar 2010 bet is on James Cameron winning as "Best Director".  Sure there are plenty of so-called "locks" but these come with a hefty price.  BetUS.com was offering Cameron at 3/1 or +300 odds for a potential payout of $30 on every $10 bet.

So much has been made of The Hurt Locker winning for Best Picture and how Cameron's ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow is an even bigger favorite to take home the gold statue for Best Director.  But when you really think about it, what Avatar lacks in original story, the film itself is a masterpiece like none other we have seen to date from a technical aspect and that has to count for something.

Our thoughts are that Cameron may actually win for Best Director while The Hurt Locker takes home the award for Best Film.  At least the value is there when it comes to betting.

Cameron has already discussed how he believes his wife is deserving of the Oscar for Best Director but this is one category where we can see a small upset.

The Best Actress category is another good Oscar 2010 bet for gamblers as Meryl Streep would pay out $20 for every $10 bet at BetUS.com
