Betting on the 2011 Oscars
Betting on the 2011 Oscars has just gotten a whole lot better with BetUS.com adding a number of new betting options.
Among the offerings not available at the majority of online betting shops include total Oscars won by Inception (OVER/UNDER 3), The Social Network (OVER/UNDER 3) and The Kings Speech (OVER/UNDER 5).
The Kings Speech suddenly has become a virtual “lock” at -1000 odds even though The Social Network opened as the favorite just a few weeks ago. Currently, The Social Network pays out $25 for every $10 bet should it win the Oscar for “Best Picture”.
Elsewhere, Melissa Leo is looking more like a “lock” at -500 odds for her role in The Fighter.
Colin Firth is looking like the biggest “lock” of all for his role in The King’s Speech with ridiculous odds set at -10000.
“When betting on the 2011 Oscars I would go with the OVER/UNDER options since the prices are not as steep,” commented Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.
All Oscars 2011 odds appear below.
(how to read odds: -125 means that $12.50 must be wagered to win $10. The $12.50 bet is returned should the outcome be a winner. +120 means that a $10 bet pays $12)
