Heath Ledger Oscar Odds Pulled

Heath Ledger has won the 2009 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, at least in the eyes of bookmakers and the gambling public.

"The ‘Best Supporting Actor Odds" were taken down at a number of online gambling websites," explains Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of Gambling911.com.

BetUS.com hasn't officially taken down the "Best Supporting Actor" odds, you just can't bet them.

"They had a line of -10000, which is unprecedented," O'Brien explains.  "In other words you have to bet $10,000 to win $100 and BetUS.com does not take $10,000 bets on the Oscars."

And what about the other poor saps who are unfortunate enough to be nominated along side Ledger, who sadly passed away from a prescription drug overdose last year following filming of the Dark Knight in which Ledger played the Joker.

The other best supporting actors, including Philip Seymour Hoffman, all would pay $2000 to $3000 (Michael Shannon - Revolutionary Road) for every $100 bet.
