Honey G at 16-1 Odds to Win X Factor Following Public Outrage
Honey G was coming in anywhere from 10-1 odds to 16-1 of winning this season’s UK installment of X Factor. They had the second longest odds of winning as the viewing public expressed disgust at judges for picking Honey G over popular Ryan Lawrie in the sing-off.
Yes, after tonight’s sing-off, judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louise Walsh sent 20-year-old singer Ryan Lawrie home, while keeping the ‘genuine urban artist’ in the competition, reports Radio Times.
One viewer tweeted:
Imagine getting sent home over a middle aged woman thinking she's Jay z
Another tweeted:
First Brexit, then Donald Trump and now Honey G is about to win X factor might as well just write 2016 off now
Not everyone was against Honey G.
Jason Palmer tweeted
So great to see true talent prevail in the sing off tonight on @TheXFactor. Honey G in supreme form tonight! Lyrical genius #HoneyGToWin
Honey G would pay nearly 8 times what the new US President-Elect Donald Trump paid out.
