Forget Best Picture and Best Actor. What we really want is odds on who will cry and who will fight. How about what color dress Angelina Jolie will be wearing or the designer for Kate Winslet's gown?
Sportsbook.com has removed odds on the dress designers for both Winslet and Jolie.
Dave Stanley, Spokesperson for Sportsbook.com questioned the Oscar betting pattern on both their Kate Winslet and Angelina Jolie dress props following some unusually lopsided action this past Wednesday.
"It's not enough yet to pull the bets option down but we are definitely monitoring it," Stanley told Gambling911.com at that time.
The odds on Kate Winslet wearing a dress designed by Armani Prive was getting a ton of action on the "No" while Angelina Jolie wearing a Ralph Lauren designed dress was also getting a good deal of action on the "No". Odds were listed at +275 in Jolie's case, paying $27.50 for every $10 bet for both starlets, but have since been pulled.
"You can still bet on a variety of Oscar props at Sportsbook.com," Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com pointed out. "Acceptance speech ‘thank you's' and lengths, who will cry and the total awards for certain films were being offered on Saturday."
Sportsinteraction.com had a few interesting Oscar prop betting odds of their own, including a few on host Hugh Jackman.
Will he host the show as a wolverine would pay $2500 for every $100 bet while Jackman getting into a fight with Russell Crowe promises a payout near $7000 for every $100 bet.
Brad Pitt winning for Best Actor and Angelina Jolie winning Best Actress will pay $10000 on a $100 bet.
