Falcons safety Jessie Bates is potentially taking a different approach to his preparation in playing against the Kansas City Chiefs this time around.
Bates has played against the Chiefs, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes five times previously during his career, and he's 3-2 overall, so what's going to change for Sunday night's matchup?
A little Taylor Swift trash talking.
Bates was a guest on 'The Pacman Jones Show' podcast today, and he said he's going to try and get under Kelce's skin.
"I don't listen to much Taylor Swift, but obviously you gotta have respect for what she's done in her career. And then with Travis [Kelce] you gotta have some type of respect with him," Bates said. "But once that clock ticks and we're in between those lines...I see Red sometimes and might say some crazy stuff to him, it may involve Taylor, in may not. It's just part of the game, talking your little smack.
The Falcons are currently 3-point underdogs against the Chiefs for Sunday Night Football. Atlanta opened as a 4.5-point underdog.
