Miss Mexico, one of the favorites, wins the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. Traffic for the event was substantial at Gambling911.com as this is one of the most bet on entertainment events of the year. Miss Jamaica, a fairly big long shot, was the first runner up.
Shockingly absent from the top 15 finalists were perennial favorites Miss Venezuela and Miss USA.
Miss Mexico and Miss Philippines were the only single digit odds favorites to make the 5 finalists.
Miss Australia also made the cut at 12/1 odds. Miss Jamaica was at 18/1 and Miss Ukraine came in with the longest odds at 20/1 or more depending on the book.
Top 10 finalists:
The top 10 included a few big long shots. Miss South Africa was listed with around 30/1 odds while Miss Ukraine came in around 20/1 odds as did Miss Guatemala.
Two of the big three favorites, Miss Ireland and Miss Mexico, also made the final top 10.
Another of the single digit odds contestants to make the cut included Miss Philippines.
Also making the top 10 finalists, Miss Jamaica at 18/1 odds, Miss Puerto Rico at 18/1 odds. Miss Australia at 12/1 odds and Miss Albania at around 20/1 odds.
