Odds to Win Best Adapted Screenplay – 2017 Oscars

The odds to win the Best Adapted Screenplay for the 2017 Oscars had Moonlight as the -750 odds on favorite, essentially making it a lock.

One would have to wager $75 to win $10.  The $75 is refunded just as long as Moonlight wins and you would profit $10.  While the risk is high, the odds are especially good that you will be $10 richer after this year’s Oscars.

Moonlight, filmed in Miami , is based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney, and written by both.  It chronicles the life of Chiron from shy boy to hardened drug dealer living outside Atlanta.

According to Wikipedia, Moonlight received acclaim upon its release and was regarded as one of the best films of 2016, with critics praising the acting, direction, screenplay, cinematography, subject matter, and score.
