“Amy” was a favorite at -600 to win but, when it comes to Oscar odds, this is in no way a “lock”.  Still it’s a great range as oddsmakers feel strongly that “Amy” will win while the price is low enough to allow for a decent enough profit with a relatively low risk ($120 pays $20 with that $120 refunded just as long as “Amy” wins).

“Amy” delves into the life of troubled recording artist Amy Winehouse, who died of a drug overdose in 2011.

“Cartel Land” had the next shortest odds at 3-1 or +300.

Directed by Matthew Heineman, the film focuses on the Mexican Drug War, in particular the vigilante groups fighting Mexican drug cartels.

“The Look of Silence” had odds of 10-1, “What Happened, Miss Simone?” had odds of 25-1 and “Winter On Fire” had odds of 35-1.
