Oddsmakers Take Bets on ‘Frozen 2’
All the talk in Hollywood this week centered on the announced production of “Frozen 2”, a sequel to the 2013 box office hit “Frozen”. Now oddsmakers are looking to capitalize on the phenomenon.
The Walt Disney Animation 3D graphics musical fantasy comedy film generated $1.3 billion in worldwide box office revenue, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time. It also ranks as the 5th highest grossing film of all time. A merchandise line has helped boost the franchise's financial success even further.
Oddsmakers at Paddy Power have taken notice and started taking bets this week on everything from the film's release date to whether the main character Elsa dies.
Paddy Power is offering odds of 3/1 that Elsa's end will come.
There are some things we do know about “Frozen 2” though they are few and far between.
The first film’s directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are developing the project with producer Peter Del Vecho.
Odds on how much the animated film will make its first weekend will likely be offered across many betting websites as the release date nears.
