Oscars Nominations 2009 – Academy Awards Odds TBA
Oscar Nominations 2009 were announced on Thursday with the Academy Awards betting odds now published at online gambling firm Sportsbook.com, which by the way was offering a 10 percent cash bonus on all initial deposits.
The Academy Awards ranks as the 3rd most bet on single day event online in North America, following behind the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button picked up the most honors, racking up 13 noms including best pic. Slumdog Millionaire followed with 10 nods.
As expected, Heath Ledger was nominated for Supporting Actor on the one-year anniversary of his death for The Dark Knight. He was expected to be a huge favorite in the category.
