Pawn Stars a Hit: Somach Gets Smacked
Pawn Stars is without a doubt one of the hottest shows on television right now and Gambling911.com's ace reporter Thomas Somach is among the most hated by the show's fans it seems.
Somach's piece entitled "Pawn Stars Vegas Reality Star is a Real Con Man" is one of the most read articles on the Gambling911.com website since Jenny Woo's recap of a date she had with smoldering stud celebrity Vin Diesel.
The show chronicles the daily activities at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family business operated by patriarch Richard Harrison, his son Rick Harrison, who opened the shop with his father in 1988, and Rick's son Corey, who has worked there since childhood, and who is being groomed to one day take over the shop. The shop is based out of Las Vegas.
Somach's article was also among the most commented on.
Writes one reader of Gambling911.
"Tom is the real con man here this guy writes more crap then any other reporter in the country. TOTAL LOSER."
An other wrote:
"I'm not coming to this website anymore. Any site that employs or publishes Tom Somach material is either a rag or unethical. Come on C. Costigan. You haven't followed all the problems that Tom Somach has gotten into? He thinks nothing about writing stuff that is untrue. He doesn't check his sources. I'm not sure if Somach is an idiot, scumbag or employed or taking money from somebody to publish the junk he writes. EVERYBODY, LET'S FOLLOW THIS NEW MOTTO FROM NOW ON. JUST SO NO TO TOM SOMACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
But in fairness to Somach, much of the comments had to do with evaluating the show itself. And, make no mistake about it, this is a hugely popular show.
With 4.4 million viewers this past week, Pawn Stars consistently ranks at around the 4th most watched show on Cable.
