Kate Middleton has given birth.  The baby is a boy!

That announcement essentially canceled out the favorite among baby names, which was Alexandra. 

For those out there who had bets on the weight of the Royal baby, that number came in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces.

UK bookmakers the likes of Paddy Power have admitted to making a killing on the Royal baby betting options.

Punters may have to wait a number of years on the outcome of some bets such as the first nightclub Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son will be photographed at, his first school or his first girlfriend.
