It's what everybody's been talking about over the last week, outside of the Jeff Epstein files of course.

The prediction market Kalshi is offering betting odds on whether Coldplay will discuss the Astronomer CEO affair with his human resources manager. The two were caught on a Coldplay concert kiss cam.

Andy Byron has resigned as CEO of Astronomer following a viral kiss cam incident at a Coldplay concert involving HR chief Kristin Cabot, NY Post reports. The company said leadership failed to meet its standards and named cofounder Pete DeJoy as interim CEO while a search begins for a permanent replacement.

As much as 70% of the gambling market believed Coldplay would broach the subject.  Those chances dropped to 39% by Sunday evening.  It's not immediately clear as to why.

Rules summary, according to Kalshi:  If Coldplay discusses Astronomer CEO Affair starting from 12:15 PM on July 18, 2025 and before Aug 1, 2025, then the market resolves to Yes. Sources from person, The New York Times, the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Reuters, Axios, Politico, Semafor, The Information, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and NBC.

On Sunday, the New York Post covered the HR manager, Kristin Cabot.  They featured the glaring headline: "HR exec in Coldplay cheating scandal married into one of the oldest, wealthiest families in Boston: ‘The Cabots speak only to God’"

The Cabot family is one of the original “Boston Brahmin” clans that controlled New England for centuries — a club so old, WASPy and distinguished that the Irish-Catholic Kennedys are left out in the cold.

The family made its fortune in soot, known colloquially in industry circles as “carbon black,” a key ingredient in car tires, and dates back to New England for 10 generations.

But, family members have been behind a slew of businesses across New England — including the rum company.

The family patriarch, Samuel Cabot, kick-started the family’s fortune by marrying Eliza Perkins, the daughter of wealthy merchant trader.
