Betting on American Idol was still available even though the performance show finale had (and subsequent voting) had already aired on Tuesday evening.

Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com believe that this one is extremely close and the betting action was starting to even out as we inched closer to the American Idol results show finale.

Sportsbook.com now had Adam Lambert as the -150 favorite, down from -350 before Tuesday night. Kris Allen was listed with near even odds of winning (+120 would pay out $1.20 for every $1.00 bet)

Judge Simon Cowell believed that Allen had won the first round of the show while Lambert easily took round two. The third set could actually have gone either way.

DialIdol.com had this one too close to call.
