On November 21, 2024, FanDuel's Daily Fantasy Sports platform experienced what was reported as significant technical difficulties, preventing users from entering or editing their lineups just before contest lock times.

This incident led to widespread frustration among users, many of whom missed out on participating in scheduled events.

"We’re aware that some users are having trouble entering and editing Fantasy contests," the site noted via X. "Our team is actively engaged and working to get this resolved. Further updates will be threaded here."

Shortly before 9:45 pm ET, FanDuel announced the issue had been resolved.

That didn't necessarily sit well with customers.

"Except I have $7.25 worth of lineups I bought but didn’t set yet because I was unable to. Are you going to refund me?"

"For 2 hours I couldn’t change my lineup and now I might not win smh."

"Be more specific with your verbage. By resolved do you mean everyone who didnt submit a reserved lineup will be refunded?? Most people reserve and never had a chance to input a lineup! Meee X 10 for example. Announce refund policy asap!"

"WHEN is the refund coming?? We could not submit players in prepaid (reserved) entries!!!!"

The event has fueled discussions about the reliability of online fantasy sports platforms.

Users expressed demands for compensation, highlighting ongoing concerns about customer satisfaction in the digital sports betting arena.

FanDuel did begin offering refunds Friday afternoon.
