32 World Cup Teams Then and Now Championship Odds

We have the USA and we have a darling Cinderella.

What more could America ask for as a host country of the 2026 FIFA World Cup?

The dance continues today as we're down to the Round of 32 and knockout stages.

Below, you'll find a table comparing every remaining country's pre-tournament odds against the current odds. It's interesting to see which teams have made huge jumps and which have reversed course.

Sadly, Cape Verde, which is the smallest country by population (smaller than the smallest state in the U.S.), is still at the bottom of the list with 1000/1 odds (half of their pre-tournament odds).

David (Cape Verde) will take on Goliath (Argentina and defending Cup champs) in the Round of 32 on Friday. Let's see if America's second-favorite team can pull off another gigantic upset.
