Many people didn't expect either Costa Rica or Greece to make it to the knockout stage of the World Cup, and for good reason.
Costa Rica had done it just once in three previous World Cup trips and that was back in 1990, while Greece is going it for the first time in their third World Cup tournament. However, both stepped up when they had to and now one of these countries will be going to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.
