Sportsbook.com had all your FIFA World Cup 2014 Top Goal Scorer betting odds with Lionel Messi of Argentina listed as the 7/1 favorite.

Messi’s short price makes sense.  Returning from injury in January, Messi managed to score twice for Barca in a 4-0 victory over Getafe in the Copa del Rey.  Messi repeated that feat in a February 15 matchup against Rayo Vallecano.  On March 16, he scored a hat-trick vs. Osasuna and overtook Paulino Alcantara as Barcelona’s top goalscorer in all competitions.  His March 23 hat trick against Real Madrid resulted in Messi becoming the outright all-time top goalscorer in the El Clasico fixtures.  He finished the season with 41 goals.

Neymar of Brazil comes in with the second shortest odds at 10/1.

Luis Suarez of Uruguay and Sergio Aguero of Argentina were both listed with 12/1 odds.

Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal had odds of 12/1 to lead in goals at this year’s FIFA World Cup.

Spain’s Diego Costa had odds of 16/1.
