Team Japan has won its first World Cup game outside of Japan and as a pretty big underdog no less.

The Japan team was listed with 3/1 odds against what was seen as a pretty solid Cameroon club.  They walk away with a 1-0 victory.

Cameroon was heavily backed by wise guys coming into Monday's game.

Keisuke Honda scored in the first half for Japan. The ball fell to Honda at the back post and the striker neatly controlled it and sent it past goalkeeper Hamidou Souleymanou after 30 minutes of mostly sloppy play.

Japan came into this matchup as the least likely to win the Group E stage at 12/1 odds
