At +950 odds, Argentina would pay out US$95 for every US$10 bet should they go on to win the 2010 FIFA World Cup at SBG Global.  Certainly, Lionel Messi will have plenty to do with such any such win.

Messi conjured a spellbinding opening to the World Cup highlighting Argentina's 1-0 win over Nigeria in their Group B match at Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday.

It was a rasping Messi volley tipped over the bar by Enyeama that indirectly led to the only goal in the opening minutes.

Messi taunted the Africans with his mesmerising skill and virtuosity and was denied his first goal at South Africa 2010 only by the acrobatic saves of Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

It wss Gabriel Heinze who scored on a diving header and Argentina hung on for a 1-0 victory over Nigeria on Saturday despite missing a fistful of scoring chances in the teams' World Cup opening.

Argentina have won all three of their matches with Nigeria at the World Cup after winning 2-1 at the 1994 tournament in the USA.
