So Much for Italy Having the 6th Shortest Odds to Win 2018 World Cup

Italy now joins a small, exclusive group that few soccer teams have any interest in joining:  Soccer superstars to sit out the 2018 FIFA World Cup after failing to qualify.

Italy had been listed at 13/2 odds of winning the 2018 World Cup before losing their qualifier to Sweden on Monday. 

Italy is probably the most shocking of the four regulars that so far have failed to qualified including the US, Netherlands and Chile.  The Italians are 6 times World Cup finalists and 4 times World Cup winners.
