It happens every year, and 2023 will be no different as at least one starting quarterback will lose his job.

So…who will be the first QB benched this season? Will it be a rookie or journeyman? Or perhaps Russell Wilson?

Well, the odds released by SportsBetting.ag Monday morning have a couple of vets and a second-year player in the Top 3. Baker Mayfield is the favorite, followed by Washington's Sam Howell and Tennessee's Ryan Tannehill.

There are benching odds for 31 quarterbacks below. The Arizona Cardinals were left off the list because head coach Jonathan Gannon said "no starters named" after the team's final preseason game. Colt McCoy is expected to start until Kyler Murray can return.

Additionally, the latest "first coach fired" odds have produced a three-way tie at the top. The website reported that Josh McDaniels has been bet on the most since odds initially opened July 24, so his odds have been moved from 10/1 to 6/1.

The full list of firing odds can be found below the QB benching odds.
