Writing on her Twitter page about how much she loves USC, poker pro Christina Lindley had some disparaging words about Lane Kiffin, the new head coach of USC.

"Love USC, and let me just say Lane Kiffen, not so much.  What an ass!"

When Lane Kiffin left Tennessee to go to USC, students burned mattresses and threw debris at cars.

Kiffen replaces Pete Carroll, who will now be coaching the Seattle Seahawks.

From the New York Times:

Beyond campus, Kiffin's hiring is being widely viewed as a thumb in the eye of the N.C.A.A. In Kiffin's less than 14 months at Tennessee, the football program committed six secondary violations and is under investigation for its use of student hostesses in recruiting. Three of Kiffin's recruits were dismissed from the team after they were arrested for armed robbery.

Now, Kiffin assumes control at a university that is under N.C.A.A. scrutiny. U.S.C. has a hearing before the N.C.A.A. Committee on Infractions on Feb. 19-21, when it will learn the findings of investigations into its football and basketball programs.

"No. 1, we will run an extremely clean, disciplined program," Kiffin said. "That will start today."
