Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Redskins

The Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Redskins betting odds were listed at Colts -3 and the total was at 44.  This game goes off Sunday night at 8:20 pm EST on NBC.  Betting odds were available at SBG Global here.

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts visit Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins on Sunday night in a NFL game that matches up two 3-2 teams that both lead their respective divisions. It should be an interesting matchup with two high profile quarterbacks taking the center stage in this contest that will be shown on NBC.

Washington doesn’t have the best betting statisticsbut somehow they are finding ways to win under head coach Mike Shanahan, but more importantly – cover for gamblers.   The Redskins give up a ton of yards each week on defense but somehow they keep other teams out of the end zone most of the time.  The Redskins are allowing an NFL worst 410.2 yards per game but they have only allowed 32 points in their three wins. The Washington defense is going to get a real test this week against Peyton Manning and an Indianapolis offense that is excellent in points, total yards and passing yards. The Colts didn’t do that much on offense last week as their defense stepped up to hold Kansas City to 261 total yards in a 19-9 win.

On the other side of the ball, the Redskins could have some success running the ball against an Indianapolis defense that is traditionally poor against the run.   The Redskins are without Clinton Portis but Ryan Torain has filled in nicely.  Donovan McNabb could also have some success against an Indianapolis secondary that has some weaknesses.

The Colts lead the all-time series with the Redskins 18-10. The last meeting came in 2006 when the Colts won 36-22 at home but going back in history, the Colts have not won in Washington since 1967. Indianapolis has won six straight games against NFC teams going back to 2008.

Here are the NFL betting statsfor Sunday night’s game. The Colts are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a road favorite. The Colts are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 6. The Redskins are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 home games. The Redskins are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 6.

The Over is 5-1 in the Colts last 6 road games. The Over is 5-2 in the Colts last 7 games in October. The Under is 8-1-1 in the Redskins last 10 games in October. The Under is 13-5 in the Redskins last 18 home games.
