Nearly all the online sportsbooks are offering 2009 NFL regular season wins betting odds.   These are probably among the most fun bets of any year.

The way NFL regular season wins betting works is the oddsmakers post a number of games they believe a team will win and offer a line on the OVER/UNDER that number of regular season wins.

The Steelers' Regular Season Wins over/under total at betED.com is 10.5, with the over paying -125 and the under +105.

The highest win total is for the New England Patriots, at 11.5. The over is -120 and the under is +100.

New England will have two-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback Tom Brady back this season. Brady missed the 2008 NFL season after suffering a knee injury in the opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After Pittsburgh and New England, the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants have the highest regular season win total with 10. For the Colts, the over is -105 and the under -115, while for the Giants the over is +130 and the under is -150.

Eight teams have a total of 8.5 wins, including the Arizona Cardinals, who lost 27-23 to the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII last February. The over for the Cardinals is +100 while the under is -120.

The lowest win total belongs to the Detroit Lions at 4.5, with the over at -115 and the over at -105.

The most confident lines offered by the oddsmakers at betED.com were on the Baltimore Ravens winning more than 8 ½ 2009 NFL regular season games at -165; the Cleveland Browns winning less than 7 at -190; the New York Giants winning under 10 games at -150; the New York Jets winning over 7 games at -160; and the San Francisco 49ers winning more than 7 regular season games at -165.
