Carrie Stroup here with your 2010 Week 14 NFL picks.

*Please note that Carrie’s picks were posted on our Facebook page at the start of the games.  We were unable to publish this article until after the games were already in progress due to a database issue that was affecting the back end administration.

There were 4 major public favorites we were looking to bet against today:  The Patriots, Falcons, Packers and Browns.

While the Patriots and Packers were getting around 75 percent of the betting action, these two games were both receiving heavy volume.

I’m reluctant to go with the Panthers, but as part of my system I’m taking Carolina +7.5.  Likewise, we’ll be on Buffalo as a PICK, Detroit +7 and Bears +3.

Now let’s look at some top trends and see if there is anything worth betting.

I love the surging Oakland Raiders playing in Jacksonville.  The Jaguars are 1-8 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points over the last 3 seasons, 3-12 ATS off a division game over the last 3 seasons and 3-12 ATS as a favorite over the last 3 seasons.  Raiders +4 here.

As much as I hate to back the 49ers, Seattle has been terrible on the road (3-11 ATS) and as an underdog (5-13 ATS).  With the 49ers as +5 home underdogs, I’ll take ‘em.

Good luck everyone.
