2012 Preseason Team Quarterback Ratings – Top 6
Tony George of TonyGeorgeSports.com has released his 2012 Preseason NFL Team Quarterback Ratings and here they are….
It is said, and a proven fact down the stretch in the 4 Pre Season Games NFL teams have, that point spread winners can be found by simply finding teams with a deep QB roster as the point production is more likely to increase with those teams. While I would not suggest that be the lone factor in your handicapping method, now that the preseason is in week 2, it is time to place slightly more emphasis on this aspect. I have taken a look at the NFL rosters and observed Week 1 action, which was dismal for the most part concluding with a 3-0 game on Monday Night Football and ranked my Top 6 Teams whose QB rotation should give them an advantage down the stretch.
Again a lot of teams have yet to install 100% of their offense into their game plans or in practice sessions but rest assured they are working on it for week 2 and beyond. This is especially important for teams with new offensive coordinators, where a new offense is being installed. So no matter what the QB or RB depth is, there is going to be some execution issues that affect performance with new schemes. That is what the Preseason is all about, a fact forgotten by some, but surely not myself.

Week 3 of the preseason is more or less the dress rehearsal. That is the week you can expect most starters a full 2 quarters and some into the 3rd quarter before the scrubs come in and try to make the final roster. Place most of your emphasis on that week as more true to form in terms of teams playing closer to their overall capabilities.
Measure these teams with the dep QB rosters and who they are playing in the coming weeks, and the depth and strength of the defense’s they are playing, and it just may give you an edge against the line. Bear in mind any information you can find locally by local beat sport writers about the mindset of a particular team or coaching staff, the emphasis of a team going into a particular preseason game, it also crucial information to be applied.
