2012 Super Bowl Prop Bets: The Full Breakdown
Gambling911.com has been covering all the great 2012 Super Bowl prop bets that are currently available. With more added each day, let’s take a more thorough look. Remember, you can find hundreds of prop wagers at Bookmaker.eu here, serving the sports bettor since 1985. You will be able to gamble on every play of the Super Bowl LIVE.
The Coin Toss – One of the dumbest bets but the single most popular. In fact, after the line and total, heads or tails is the third most wagered on for the 2012 Super Bowl.
Super Bowl MVP – Obviously the two quarterbacks are favored to win. Everybody else pays double digits though. And with Rob Gronkowski suffering from an injury, his odds just went from 4/1 to 9/1. There is also a good Super Bowl prop bet as to who the MVP will thank first.
Scoring Super Bowl Prop Bets – Who will score first, who will score last, what will the first score be, when will the first score take place. Total number of points scored an odd or even number. These are always popular.
Player Prop Bets – Broken down for each player. How many yards, receptions, touchdowns scored etc… Will either quarterback throw an interception? The list is pretty extensive.
Gatorade Shower Color – Yes, you can bet the color of the Gatorade shower. Always a popular prop bet. Clear is the favorite, followed by orange.
Singing of the National Anthem – The online sportsbooks offer this one, Vegas does not. You can wager on the exact time it takes Kelly Clarkson to sing the National Anthem. You can also wager on the color of her dress.
Madonna’s Hair Color – There used to be a great Super Bowl prop bet that allowed gamblers to wager on the playlist order, but apparently that got a little trying or perhaps there was fear of insider information. With the Half Time Show you can now bet on the color of Madonna’s hair and whether she will wear an NFL or team jersey. Good stuff. A hair color other than blonde pays out 3/1 odds.
Who The Winning Coach Thanks First – Similar bet to that of the MVP and who he will thank first.
Super Bowl Ratings – These are up now at Bookmaker.eu. They even have a great prop wager on which market has the highest ratings, Boston area or New York area.
Quarters Betting – You can wager on each quarter as with most football games. Here you can bet which will be the highest scoring, will New England or the Giants score in each quarter, etc..
Adjusted Lines – Bet on your favorite team at a different line than what is being offered for a much higher risk vs. rewards ratio. In other words, the Giants winning by 7 would feature a much higher payout than the current spread.
Margin of Victory Odds – There are many different combinations but if you get one right you’re looking at a payout starting around $700 on a $100 bet.
First Made Field Goal – Goes by yards with the favorite between 23 and 36 paying just under 3/1 odds.
